A delightful blend of savory and umami-rich flavors, featuring sesame oil and tender chicken, perfect for quick weeknight meals.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 1/2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
1/4 cup sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
Prepare the Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper until well combined.
Marinate the Chicken: Place the chicken thighs in a large plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor. Turn the chicken occasionally to ensure even marination.
Cook the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and place the chicken in the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
Garnish and Serve: Transfer the chicken to a serving platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for a burst of flavor and color. Drizzle a bit of the remaining marinade over the chicken before serving.
