1 cup warm water (110°F)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
1/4 cup sliced olives
1/4 cup chopped onions

Instructions
Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add in the flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface. Knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Let the Dough Rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
Prepare the Sauce: In a medium saucepan, combine tomato sauce, oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt and pepper. Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Roll Out the Dough: Punch down the risen dough and turn it onto a floured surface. Roll it out to your desired thickness and size.
Assemble the Pizza: Place the rolled-out dough onto a greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Spread the sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and add your chosen toppings.
Bake the Pizza: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
