  1. Begin by cutting the cinnamon sugar donuts into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Pour the egg mixture over the cut donut pieces and gently fold and mix until all the donut pieces are coated in the custard. Allow it to soak for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  5. Pour the soaked donuts and custard mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  6. While the casserole is baking, prepare the caramelized banana toppings in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Once the casserole is done baking, remove it from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, cut into squares, serve warm, and top with caramelized bananas, maple syrup, or creamy vanilla sauce.
