A delightful twist on the classic Italian tiramisu recipe, combining the richness of cream cheese with traditional coffee and espresso flavors.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1 cup mascarpone cheese
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
24 ladyfinger biscuits
Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Dark chocolate shavings or grated chocolate, for garnish
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese and mascarpone cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso and coffee liqueur. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the mixture.
Begin layering in a 9x13-inch dish: Spread a thin layer of the cream mixture, arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers, spread half of the remaining cream mixture, and repeat the layers.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or overnight.
Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with dark chocolate shavings.
