Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow the mixture to sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in oregano, parsley, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release the air and divide it into 16 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.
  7. Dip each dough ball into the garlic butter sauce, then layer them into a greased bundt pan or loaf pan, sprinkling mozzarella and Parmesan cheese between the layers.
  8. Cover the assembled bread with a cloth and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Drizzle with any remaining garlic butter sauce and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
