Description
A comforting, delicious meal made in one pot, combining creamy pasta sauces with the rich taste of ground beef for a family-friendly dish.
Ingredients
Scale:
8 oz spaghetti
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cups beef broth (low-sodium preferred)
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Brown the beef: In a large pot or skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, stirring frequently, about 5-7 minutes.
Add vegetables: Stir in the chopped onion and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
Season: Sprinkle in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine and let the spices infuse into the meat and onions, about 1 minute.
Add broth and pasta: Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the spaghetti and stir.
Cook pasta: Reduce heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spaghetti is al dente.
Stir in cream and cheese: Once the pasta is cooked, lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, mozzarella cheese, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Mix until the cheeses melt.
Adjust seasoning: Taste the dish and adjust salt and pepper as needed. If too thick, add a splash of water or broth.
Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
