- 1 pound hot dogs, sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) pinto beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons homemade chili seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Diced green onions
- Sour cream
- Pickled jalapeños
Instructions
- In your slow cooker, combine the sliced hot dogs, ground beef, kidney beans, pinto beans, crushed tomatoes, and beef broth.
- Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic into the mixture.
- Sprinkle in the homemade chili seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper if using.
- Stir everything together until well combined.
- Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Once the chili has thickened and the flavors melded, taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
- Serve the chili hot, ladled into bowls, and topped with your favorite classic chili toppings like shredded cheddar cheese and diced green onions.
