A delightful casserole that combines tender chicken, creamy sauce, and savory stuffing, perfect for family gatherings or a cozy dinner at home.
Ingredients
Scale:
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
1 cup cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (6 ounces) stuffing mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup water
1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, or corn)
1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is combined.
Fold in the mixed vegetables, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the chicken mixture.
In a separate bowl, combine the stuffing mix, melted butter, and water. Stir until the stuffing is moistened.
In a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the chicken mixture evenly and layer the stuffing mixture on top.
If using cheese, sprinkle it evenly over the stuffing layer.
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the stuffing is golden brown and the mixture is bubbly.
Allow the bake to cool for a few minutes before serving.
