Ingredients
Scale:
2 pounds chicken wings
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust for spice level)
Celery sticks
Carrot sticks
Ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping
Instructions
Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat (about 400°F for grilling) or 425°F for oven-baked wings.
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and toss them with vegetable oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir until sugar dissolves and sauce simmers, then cook for 10 minutes.
For grilling, place wings on the grill and cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. For baking, arrange wings on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway.
In the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush wings with BBQ sauce and cook until sticky and caramelized.
Transfer wings to a serving platter and serve with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and your favorite dipping sauces.
