A flavorful dish that captures the essence of summer barbecues with its rich, smoky aroma and juicy tenderness.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (optional)
Instructions
In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper to create the smoky chicken seasoning.
In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil and lemon juice. Add the dry seasoning mix to this and stir until well combined to form a marinade.
Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for more intense flavor.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 375°F (190°C). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the chicken on the preheated grill.
Grill the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is golden brown with grill marks.
Transfer the grilled chicken to a serving platter. Let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
