  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk until fully combined.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and additional cinnamon.
