Ingredients
Scale:
12 ounces of penne or rotini pasta
2 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute. Stir in the heavy cream and milk, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, diced chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top. Optionally, add breadcrumbs.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley.
