A comforting dish that combines fluffy bread, rich eggs, and gooey cheese, perfect for family gatherings, brunch parties, or cozy Sunday mornings.
Ingredients
Scale:
1 loaf of fresh pull-apart bread (or garlic pull-apart bread)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
6 large eggs
1 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives or parsley
Additional cheese for sprinkling on top (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Take your loaf of pull-apart bread and cut it into 1-inch cubes in a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted butter over the bread cubes and toss gently until well coated.
In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and shredded cheese until fully combined.
Pour the egg mixture over the butter-coated bread cubes. Gently fold everything together until all the bread pieces are soaked in the egg mixture.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish thoroughly and evenly distribute the bread and egg mixture into the dish.
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the egg is set and the top is golden brown.
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped chives or parsley before serving.
