Ingredients

- 4 ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup baking powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
- Chocolate sauce, for drizzling
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced bananas, sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Toss gently and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add the melted butter and milk, stirring until just combined.
- In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spoon the banana filling into the bottom. Pour the cobbler topping over the bananas evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
